Meet the Team

Dr Emma Kennare – Vet Manager

Dr Emma joined the Pets + Vets group about 10 years ago and has worked at most of our practices.

In her spare time Emma loves to work on her property and spend time with her dogs and horses.

Dr Rebecca Langsford – Vet

Dr Rebecca graduated from Murdoch University in 2022 and joined the Pets and Vets Groups in 2024. Dr Rebecca loves working with cats and dogs but is also happy to see any wildlife that is brought into the clinic. She has two cats (Carbon and Malibu) and a flock of Indian Runner Ducks to keep her occupied while not at work.

Jennifer – Head Vet Nurse

Originally from South Africa, Jen qualified as a veterinary nurse in 2020 and has made the move south after working for Pets and Vets in the Pilbara. She a mom to a ‘Pilbara Special’ dog named Olivie Oyl. In her spare time, she enjoys camping, hiking, playing squash and riding her dirt bike.

Kate – Vet Nurse

Kate is a local in Collie and has had a passion for animals for as long as she can remember. She is an owner of two dogs named Ivy (a full of energy Labrador puppy) and Lucy (a Maltese Shih Tzu who is the proclaimed “princess of the house”) Kate love her fur babies more than anything in the world. In her time off, she enjoys reading, listening to music and spending time with her dogs outdoors.

Holly – Vet Nurse

Holly is currently studying a traineeship in veterinary nursing. She has always wanted to work with animals and loves how rewarding the job is – every fur baby we save we make the world a happier place.

In Holly’s spare time she enjoys taking her 6mth old Labrador Arlo, to the beach.

Dempsey – Trainee Vet Nurse

Since a very young age, infatuated with the RSPCA ad on TV, Dempsey has had a passion for animals large and small. Growing up she has cared for many, from rabbits to birds and now the beautiful Groodle breed.

Dempsey got an opportunity to live out her childhood dream of becoming a Vet Nurse when she joined Collie Vet Hospital. She loves working for the Pets + Vets Group and in particular the laboratory ensuring that all animals are well looked after and receive the very best care. In her spare time, Dempsey cares for her beloved Groodles Isla and Lottie. You’ll find Dempsey in the clinic from Tuesday to Friday, always up for a furry cuddle.

Shannon – Trainee Vet Nurse

Shannon is a part time trainee veterinary nurse who has been working with the collie team for 7 years now. With a love and passion from a very young age she’s always had the dream to work with the fury kind

Renee – Receptionist

Renee joined our team here at pets and Vets Collie in April 2024 after relocating from the wheatbelt. Having been involved in the Veterinary Industry.

Since 1979 Renee has a wealth of experience and knowledge as a Veterinary Nurse/Receptionist dealing with all species large and small. Now semi-retired, when not at work Renee enjoys her time with her partner on their 5-acre property in the South West on which she has her treasured morgan horses, her much loved dogs, her newly acquired chickens and her every expanding garden to keep her busy.

Catherine – Receptionist

Catherine is an experienced vet receptionist who you will find at both our Harvey and Collie Clinics. She has a passion for continually increasing her knowledge on all things pets so that she can better assist them and their owners when visiting the vet. Catherine has 2 rescue cats, Atticus & Foghorn, and a family dog named Mo. When not at work Catherine enjoys spending time with her pets, crafts, and tending to her flowers.
